{"id":306,"date":"2010-03-03T04:46:12","date_gmt":"2010-03-02T20:46:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.zivberin.com\/?p=306"},"modified":"2011-04-24T19:54:21","modified_gmt":"2011-04-24T11:54:21","slug":"trimix-course-feb2010-red-sea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.formosadiving.com\/?p=306","title":{"rendered":"Trimix Course &#8211; Feb\/2010 @ Red Sea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--:en--><div style=\"width: 202px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"   \" title=\"double 12L + manifold \" src=\"http:\/\/www.formosadiving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/IMG_159433.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"192\" height=\"256\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">double + manifold<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #616161;\">I recently completed my Technical Diving course .\u00a0 I was certified as a Trimix diver\u00a0 and I\u00a0 would like to share some photos and\u00a0 thoughts about it.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #616161;\">In general, technical (tech) diving, differs from recreational diving (which we often call scuba diving), by the fact there&#8217;s always a ceiling on the head, and a direct ascent to the surface is not allowed\/possible.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #616161;\">This ceiling can be a &#8220;hard&#8221; ceiling such as cave diving, or wreck diving, or a &#8220;soft&#8221; ceiling due to a dive that exceed the NDL (No decompression limit) due to deep dives or very long dives.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #616161;\">Since the dives are often very deep and long, mandatory decompression stops are required on the way to the surface, and if such wouldn&#8217;t be done, the diver is in a great risk of having the DSC (decompression sickness).<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #616161;\">This is a complete different discipline compare with scuba diving, as in the later one, a direct ascent to the surface is always an option (of course no faster that 9 meters\/30 feet per minute!).<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #616161;\">In order to commit such a complex dive, one should receive good training and gear up with equipment that would allow<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #616161;\">such dive (enough gas, back up gas, big capacity floating device, lifting bag, torch, reel and so on&#8230;).<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.formosadiving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/IMG_1636.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"404\" height=\"368\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #616161;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Technical_diving\" target=\"_blank\">\u03a9 Wiki \u03a9<\/a> link\u00a0 where you can a little bit of info about tech diving.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #616161;\">(you are all more than welcome to post a comment and questions here and i will get back to you with more info..)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #616161;\">to view my pictures from that course : <strong><a class=\"wp-oembed\" href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/album.php?aid=200638&amp;id=603571744&amp;l=0684542a8c\" target=\"_blank\">click<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/album.php?aid=200638&amp;id=603571744&amp;l=0684542a8c\"><\/a><!--:--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I recently completed my Technical Diving course .\u00a0 I was certified as a Trimix diver\u00a0 and I\u00a0 would like to share some photos and\u00a0 thoughts about it.
